Operation Christmas Child Shoebox CollectionThrough Sunday, November 11thPlease consider putting together a shoebox or 2 for a needy child. Details can be found at samaritanspurse.org/occ. You may use cardboard shoeboxes or even better, you can purchase a plastic shoebox at the dollar store and the family of the child can reuse it for storage. It's a nice touch to wrap your box, but please wrap the lid separately and do not tape the box shut. Instead, hold it closed with a rubber band. We have plenty of rubber bands at the church if you need one. Please enclose a check for $9 to cover shipping of your shoebox or go to https://www.samaritanspurse.org/operation-christmas-child/follow-your-box/ and prepay the shipping with your credit/debit card or electronic check and print a label. This label will be linked to your email address and you will later receive an email letting you know to which country your shoebox was delivered. A couple of things that are different this year from previous years: DO NOT include toothpaste or hard candy in your shoeboxes. If you have any questions, please contact Monica Jakes.
